Job Description

Role Overview

The Lines Performance & Projects Specialist supports the SVP, APAC Lines & Trades by consolidating performance insights and coordinating key initiatives that keep the business aligned and moving. As part of a 6-month assignment in Singapore, the role contributes to strengthening decision making and execution by improving visibility, driving follow through, and ensuring smooth cross functional alignment-directly contributing to more effective leadership delivery and enhanced overall Shipping Lines performance. The role provides direct exposure to APAC trade management and global Head Office stakeholders, with tangible impact on trade profitability, execution discipline, and strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership Support & Business Prioritization

  • Act as a trusted liaison to the SVP, APAC Lines & Trades, contributing to strategic planning and supporting leadership decision making needs.
  • Track and prioritize key strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment, quality deliverables, and timely progression in line with leadership expectations.

2. Performance Monitoring & Insight Generation

  • Consolidate, analyze, and interpret Shipping Lines performance data to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare reliable dashboards, summaries, and briefing materials that enhance performance visibility and support informed decisions.
  • Focus on trade performance (volume, revenue, yield, contribution, space utilization, equipment, schedule reliability) and support deep-dive analysis on underperforming trades of services.
  • Support ad-hoc business cases for new services, trade adjustments, or network optimization.

3. Project Coordination & Governance Enablement

  • Support the structuring, coordination, and execution of cross functional Shipping Lines projects.
  • Maintain governance routines (weekly updates, strategic reviews), ensuring timely inputs, clear documentation, and effective follow through on actions.

Expected Deliverables

  • Clear and timely performance reporting: Consolidated dashboards, insight summaries, and leadership briefing materials that highlight trends, risks, and improvement opportunities across Shipping Lines performance.
  • Structured tracking of strategic priorities: Up to date milestone reports, and aligned action plans that reflect accurate status, risks, and next steps for SVP driven initiatives.
  • Efficient governance routines: Well prepared documented decisions, and follow up actions for leadership updates, and strategic reviews, ensuring smooth and disciplined execution.
  • Strengthened alignment across teams: Coordinated inputs and streamlined communication across APAC teams, enabling more cohesive and efficient cross functional collaboration.
