About Our Client
Our client is an investment company with a stellar and successful investment track record. As they continue on their growth trajectory, there is now a newly created role for an experienced funds lawyer based in Singapore to participate in their expansion. This is also an excellent opportunity for a funds lawyer in private practice to transit into an inhouse role to continue focus on funds matters.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Management team and working alongside other lawyers in the region, you will lead all matters on fund formation, structuring and documentation across a wide range of jurisdictions and asset classes. Partnering with the compliance team, you will also provide updates and advice on regulatory changes and matters that will impact the business. You will also be involved in the review and drafting of other commercial contracts and provide advisory on other corporate matters as they arise in the course of the business.
Requirements
You are a qualified lawyer with at least 8 years PQE and a deep expertise in fund formation, structuring and documentation for private funds in the APAC region. You are commercial-minded, driven, proactive, and an independent self starter. Agile and adaptable, you are a quick learner and are open to picking up new areas. A collaborative team player, you have a track record of partnering with regional and global stakeholders to provide practical legal advice.
