Overview:
We are representing a well-capitalised and fast-growing investment platform with strong backing from Asia. The firm is building its Singapore team and is looking for a commercially minded and entrepreneurial Investment Manager or Director to focus on deal origination and execution in Southeast Asia.
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-trust environment with direct access to decision-makers, and to play a key role in shaping investment strategy and execution across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and evaluate investment opportunities across Southeast Asia, with an emphasis on proprietary and relationship-driven sourcing.
- Lead or support deal execution, including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, founders, advisors, and intermediaries.
- Assist in portfolio monitoring, strategic planning, and exit execution when relevant.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (including the HQ team) to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
Candidate Profile:
- 710+ years experience in investment banking, private equity, M&A advisory, or principal investments.
- Hunter mindset, with solid origination and execution experience.
- Strong understanding of the SEA mid-market landscape and ability to source deals.
- Skilled in financial modelling, due diligence, and structuring.
- Mature, trustworthy, and capable of operating with autonomy in a lean team.
- Entrepreneurial mindset thrives in ambiguity and is willing to get hands dirty.
- Preference for candidates with SEA exposure and relationships (e.g., Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia).
- Fluent in English; other Asian languages are a plus.
