A leading global technology-enabled financial services platform is seeking a high-calibre legal counsel to join its APAC legal team, supporting a broad portfolio of products, solutions, and strategic initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of product innovation, regulation, and complex commercial contracting, within a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
The ideal candidate is technically outstanding, commercially astute, and thrives on working closely with product and business stakeholders on cutting-edge developments in digital payments and financial technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial, technology, and strategic partnership agreements
- Support existing and new product offerings, including innovative and emerging solutions
- Provide legal advice on regulatory matters impacting financial, digital, and payment-related products across APAC
- Partner closely with product and business teams to advise on deal structures, risk allocation, and commercial strategy
- Identify and resolve legal, regulatory, and contractual risks with clarity, precision, and pragmatism
- Collaborate with regional and global legal colleagues on cross-border initiatives
Requirements:
- 68 years PQE with strong experience in payments, fintech, or technology-related transactions
- Background in a top-tier law firm and/or leading multinational organisation
- Excellent contract drafting skills, with a strong eye for structure, logic, and precision
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to financial, digital, and payment services in Asia
- Strong experience in IP, technology, and commercial agreements
- Commercial, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to operate independently and engage senior stakeholders
