Legal Counsel, Renewable Energy (6 months contract)

Kerry Consulting is currently partnering with our client to look for a Legal Counsel as a maternity cover for 6 months to support their business across infrastructure project development legal matters.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with commercial and cross-functional teams to review, draft and negotiate a range of legal and transaction documentation, including NDAs, investment and shareholder agreements, EPC contracts, PPAs, offtake arrangements, and divestment documentation such as share sale agreements.

You will advise on the legal aspects of project development, structuring, financing and operations, while managing legal risks across projects and investments. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure smooth execution of transactions, as well as contributing to legal templates, policies, and broader legal function initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

You should ideally be a qualified lawyer in Singapore or another common law jurisdiction, with 3 to 5 years of PQE in private practice and/or an in-house legal team. You hould have strong transactional experience, ideally with exposure to M&A, project finance, infrastructure, or development finance transactions and experience working on Asia-based deals; exposure to emerging markets would be an advantage.
