Our client are seeking a Regional Legal Counsel to join their team in Singapore. This role provides legal and compliance support to business operations across theAsia-Pacific region, working closely with regional stakeholders and the global legal team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support for business activities across APAC, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Partner with internal teams (IT, HR, Finance and business units) to support operational legal matters.
- Work closely with the Global Corporate Legal Department on governance, compliance, data privacy and licensing matters.
- Monitor regulatory and compliance requirements across the region.
- Manage and coordinate with external legal counsel when required.
- Support regional legal initiatives and other duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent with around 5 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house environment.
- Good English and Mandarin communication skills to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and review Chinese contracts.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regional environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
- Able to balance legal advisory and compliance responsibilities.
- Willing to travel within the Asia region when required.
