Legal Counsel, Project Finance (8-10 PQE) - US Listed MNC

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Finance lawyer to transition in-house with a fast-growing, US-listed multinational.

This is a Group-level role within a well-established legal team, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work closely with senior business, finance and investment stakeholders on sophisticated financing matters across multiple jurisdictions.

For lawyers currently in private practice, this represents an excellent opportunity to take your project finance experience in-house while remaining involved in complex, high-value transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Advising on project finance and structured financing transactions across the Group.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements and other financing documentation.
• Supporting the structuring, negotiation and execution of limited and non-recourse financings.
• Advising on refinancing, amendments, waivers and other matters throughout the financing lifecycle.
• Working closely with lenders, financial institutions, sponsors, investors and external counsel.
• Supporting financing aspects of new projects, acquisitions, investments and other strategic transactions.
• Advising internal stakeholders on financing structures, contractual risk and transaction execution.
• Coordinating cross-border matters and managing external counsel across relevant jurisdictions.
• Partnering closely with Finance, Treasury, Investment, Commercial and other Group functions.

Requirements:

• Approximately 8–10 years PQE, with flexibility for candidates with particularly relevant experience.
• Qualified in Singapore, England & Wales, Australia or another recognised common law jurisdiction.
• Strong Project Finance practice experience, ideally gained with a leading international or top-tier law firm.
• Experience advising lenders and/or sponsors on complex cross-border project financings.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across financing and security documentation.
• Exposure to infrastructure, energy, power, renewables, digital infrastructure or other capital-intensive projects would be advantageous.
• Commercially minded with the ability to move beyond pure legal analysis and work effectively with business stakeholders.
