As Singapore's largest retailer, FairPrice Group (FPG) is at the heart of every household. We are looking for a high-calibre Legal Counsel with 6 to 10 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) to join our nimble and high-impact legal team.
This is a 360-degree role. You won't be siloed into a single department; instead, you will act as a strategic partner across our diverse ecosystem - spanning retail, food services, supply chain, and digital platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory: Provide sound, commercially-minded legal advice to senior stakeholders across various business units and corporate functions.
- Contracts: Draft, review, advise on and negotiate a wide spectrum of commercial agreements.
- Project Leadership: Lead the legal workstream for cross-functional projects, including digital transformation initiatives, M&A, and new business launches.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify legal risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate them, ensuring the Group stays ahead of regulatory changes in the retail and food services landscape.
- Operational Excellence: Support legal operations so as to enhance the efficiency of the legal function.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of PQE, preferably with a mix of top-tier law firm training and in-house experience.
- Reliability: You are the safe pair of hands our business leaders can count on. You take ownership of matters from inception to completion.
- Responsiveness: You understand the speed of retail. You can pivot quickly and provide timely advice without compromising on quality.
- Adaptability: You are comfortable with ambiguity and can transition seamlessly between a complex technology contract in the morning and a regulatory advisory for our brick-and-mortar stores in the afternoon.
