Our client is a crypto mining and technology service firm. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for a Legal Counsel and the position is based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate legal documents and agreements for the group
- Provide strategic legal advice to the group on the business needs
- Liaise with external legal counsel to provide support for the group
- Assist in implementing client onboarding and KYC/AML compliance
- Manage relationships with external vendors such as law firm, corporate secretary firms etc related to legal and compliance issues
- Work with investment team to provide legal support when necessary
- Keep track on the industry trends on regulatory compliance and update the management
- Other ad-hoc on legal and compliance tasks when necessary
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law or other disciplines
- At least 3 years of legal experience in law firm or inhouse financial institution/ technology firm / digital assets/crypto industries
- Exposure or interests in digital asset industry experience is preferred
- Motivated, independent and collaborative
- Adaptable to work in a small office and fast-paced environment
- Good communication and analytical skills
