Our client is a Bank with a growing business in Asia, they are looking to hire an experienced and qualified legal counsel to join the team.
about the job
Your scope of duties include:
- Provide timely, practical, and commercially sound legal advice on a broad range of banking products, services, and operational matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate various locan documentation, commercial agreements, client documentation, vendor contracts, and other legal instruments
- Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities, new initiatives, and transactions, proposing effective mitigation strategies
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal legal policies, procedures, and training programs
- Liaise and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders and external counsels where necessary
- Report and escalate potential legal risk issues to senior management
skills and experience required
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree
- Qualified banking and finance lawyer with minimum 5 years PQE. Experience gained either within the legal department of a bank or financial institution, or from a reputable law firm specializing in banking & finance or financial services
- Strong analytical, drafting, and legal research skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical advice
