Provide competent legal support to the business which includes drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with customers and suppliers together with assessing contractual risks and advising the business internally in respect of such risks during the course of bid and contract reviews
Provide advice and support and implement necessary policies and actions in respect to Corporate Governance and Compliance matters for Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea
Deal with and advice upon data protection matters and implement any initiatives in relation to them
Assist in carrying out practical trainings and workshops for Country management and operations personnel
Assist and/or contribute to Global and APAC legal projects from time to time
Requirements:
Singapore qualified solicitor or barrister, Degree holder or above with at least 6 years post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law practice
Minimum of 4 years experience working as an in-house counsel preferably gained in IT industry
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
A proven team player with critical thinking
Able to work in multi-cultural environment
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Fluent in English, knowledge on Chinese will be an advantage to liase with colleagues based in Hong Kong and China
