Our client is a leading player in the manufacturing sector with a strong global footprint and a stable, high-performing HQ environment. As part of ongoing business growth, they are seeking a mid-level Legal Counsel to join their established and collegial legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including contract review, negotiation, and drafting.
- Support cross-functional teams on legal issues related to commercial transactions, joint ventures, partnerships, and procurement.
- Advise on corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters.
- Provide support on data protection and privacy matters, including reviewing internal policies and advising business units on compliance with relevant data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, PDPA).
- Liaise with external counsel where necessary and manage legal risks effectively.
- Assist in legal training and the development of internal policies and templates.
- Support legal aspects of operational matters, including manufacturing and supply chain arrangements.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 35 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
- Solid experience in corporate practice and/or data privacy matters is highly regarded.
- Prior experience in or exposure to the manufacturing or industrial sector is a plus but not essential.
- Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
