Legal Associate (Banking & Finance)

Cana Consulting is partnering with a leading law firm with a well-established Banking & Finance practice, is seeking a Singapore-qualified Associate (3–6 PQE) to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to advise a broad range of financial institutions, multinational corporates and other market participants on domestic and cross-border financing matters across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad spectrum of banking and finance transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate financing documentation.
• Support domestic and cross-border lending transactions from structuring through completion.
• Work closely with partners and clients on transaction execution, negotiations and ongoing advisory matters.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on complex financing transactions where required.

Requirements

• Singapore-qualified lawyer with approximately 3–6 years PQE.
• Relevant experience in a recognised Banking & Finance practice.
• Exposure to one or more areas such as corporate lending, acquisition finance, syndicated lending, project finance, trade finance, structured finance or other financing transactions.
• Strong drafting, analytical and technical legal skills.
• Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple transactions and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
