[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in the School of InfoComm Technology.
The school is looking for full-time lecturer to teach modules in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics Diploma.
The work of a lecturer is demanding and meaningful. Not only must he/she have knowledge and work experience, but he/she must be passionate about working with people, nurturing them and shaping their personality. You will have the opportunity to develop the curriculum, introduce new courses and participate in consulting and other applied research projects. Administrative tasks related to education and school / institutional and strategic initiatives are also an important part of the responsibilities. The candidate will be assigned to teach Pre-Employment Training (PET)/ Continuing Education and Training (CET) classes in the area that he/she is a subject matter expert in.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Create teaching and assessment materials, conduct lessons and facilitate learning for both PET and CET students.
- Develop and maintain new/existing teaching curriculum. This includes regular review of existing curriculum and making recommendations on areas of improvements that would enhance students learning, performance and employability.
- Support student development in the areas of Education and Career Guidance.
- Work with enterprises to develop partnership opportunities for curriculum development, industry projects or CET training.
- Solicit internship opportunities with industry partners and supervise student internships.
- Participate in ad hoc projects pertaining to academic enhancement, student development, publicity and outreach and Continuing Education and Training.
- Keep abreast of current trends and developments of technologies and emerging trends.
- Handle administrative work relating to teaching.
[What we are looking for]
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in Malware Analysis and Web Penetration Testing. On top of that, experiences in Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Generative AI and/or other AI solutions are advantageous.
- Proficient in Assembly Language, Python, Javascript and/or other related programming languages.
- Preferably have experiences in tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, PEStudio, Process Monitor, Regshot, Volatility, Wireshark, Burp Suite and Postman among others for basic static/dynamic malware analysis as well as web pentesting.
- Proficiency in the use of Jupyter Notebook, Numpy, Pandas, Seaborn, MatplotLib and Sklearn libraries is advantageous.
- Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring both youths and adult learners
