Job Description

The Learning & Development Manager will lead the establishment and operationalization of the company's training academy/training center to support workforce capability development and long-term talent growth. This role will be responsible for developing the overall learning strategy, building the training infrastructure and governance framework, and driving effective learning initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in setting up or managing corporate training academies, with strong expertise in instructional design, learning systems, and organizational capability development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's Learning & Development strategy in alignment with business objectives
  • Lead the end-to-end establishment of the training academy, including facilities, systems, operational processes, and governance structure
  • Define competency frameworks, learning roadmaps, and career development pathways
  • Establish training policies, SOPs, and quality standards to ensure effective learning delivery
  • Conduct Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) across functions and department
  • Design and develop training programs covering technical, functional, leadership, and soft skills competencies
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and external training providers to curate relevant learning content
  • Implement blended learning approaches including classroom, virtual, and e-learning solutions
  • Manage and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Drive adoption of digital learning platforms, assessment tools, and online content solutions
  • Monitor and analyze learning effectiveness, participation metrics, KPIs, and training ROI
  • Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and workforce development priorities
  • Manage relationships with external training vendors, consultants, and certification providers
  • Oversee training schedules, logistics planning, resource allocation, and program coordination
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality training delivery standards
  • Build, lead, and develop a team of trainers, facilitators, and training coordinators
  • Assess training effectiveness through established evaluation methodologies
  • Gather feedback and implement continuous improvements to learning programs
  • Benchmark learning practices against industry standards and emerging trends


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Talent Development
  • Proven experience in setting up, managing, or scaling a corporate training academy or learning center
  • Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
  • Hands-on experience with LMS platforms and digital learning technologies
  • Strong stakeholder management, project management, and communication skills
