Lead Mechanical Engineer (Data Centre)
Overview
Our client is a leading developer of high-performance infrastructure, currently expanding its regional engineering capabilities. This role will focus on delivering efficient and scalable mechanical solutions for complex environments, particularly within data centres. This role can be based in Singapore or Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of mechanical systems, including cooling, ventilation, and associated infrastructure for data centre facilities
- Translate client requirements into practical, efficient engineering solutions, balancing performance, cost, and sustainability
- Oversee design coordination across multiple disciplines to ensure integrated and buildable solutions
- Provide technical support during project execution, including troubleshooting and design refinement
- Contribute to the development of engineering standards and continuous improvement initiatives
- Engage with clients, consultants, and vendors to ensure alignment and successful delivery
- Support knowledge sharing and development within the engineering team
Key Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience, including hands-on involvement in data centre or mission-critical projects
- Strong understanding of cooling systems, thermal performance, and operational efficiency
- Experience across both design and delivery phases of projects
- Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to a range of stakeholders
- Relevant professional certifications are preferred
