Your impact

As we are growing and strengthening our Data Center business in the region, we are hiring a Lead Mechanical Building Services Engineer to be based at our Singapore office. This role will focus in providing technical capability in mechanical engineering in Data Center projects; working with the Asia Pacific Data Center Lead, focusing on technical aspects and project management.

Main duties

  • Lead Mechanical multi-disciplinary/functional team in the region to deliver Data Center and other technically challenging projects.
  • Perform engineering tasks on the mechanical services from concept, BOD, 35% to 100% designs (including calculations, computer simulations, specifications etc.) for Mechanical (HVAC, Fire Protection, Water Supply, Drainage) infrastructure, particularly in Data Center projects.
  • Provide technical guidance to project and design engineers and resolve any technical problems faced during design and construction stages.
  • Ensure that consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans / specifications are maintained across the project and coordination with other disciplines to ensure consistency across the project.
  • Support in preparing proposals and bids when needed.
  • Lead project/site meeting with Client, PM and Consultants from other disciplines (internal and external) through all stages of the project.
  • Understand and follow plans, procedures, workflows, systems and tools to meet specific project requirements.
  • Liaise and coordinate relevant technical issues with other disciplines.
  • Build cultivate and build relationships with client generally as a Doer/Seller role.
  • Support site supervision and plant commissioning activities when required.

Here's what you'll need

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by PEB Singapore.
  • Familiarity with relevant Local Building Codes and international standards to ensure compliance.
  • Experience in BIM and 3D models reviews.
  • Working knowledge/understanding of Computational simulation software for CFD, Pipe and Hydraulic analysis.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 3 years in Data Center Projects.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to work with flexible timezone to engage with clients and colleagues in different time, when needed
