Lead Lawyer – Banking & Finance & Commercial Disputes (Partnership Track)

Responsibilities:

Client Advisory & Transactional Work

• Provide strategic advice on a wide range of financing transactions, including syndicated and bilateral loans, asset finance, trade and receivables financing, and structured deals.

• Handle commercial disputes, contractual matters, and litigation/arbitration cases.

• Advise on regulatory and compliance issues relevant to financial institutions and corporates.

• Draft and review high-quality legal documentation and opinions.

End-to-End Case & Deal Management

• Lead transactions and dispute matters from inception to conclusion.

• Assess and manage legal and commercial risks, providing practical solutions.

• Liaise closely with clients to ensure favorable outcomes and strong relationships.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Coach and supervise junior lawyers, promoting a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

• Contribute to talent development and succession planning within the practice.

Business Development & Practice Growth

• Support client engagement and proposal initiatives.

• Collaborate with other practice areas to expand the firm's offerings.

Requirements:

• Called to the Singapore Bar with a valid practising certificate

• Approximately 7+ years PQE with solid experience in Banking & Finance and/or Dispute Resolution

• Proven ability to independently manage complex matters

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

• Commercially minded with a practical approach to legal problem-solving

• Prior experience in mentoring or leading teams is advantageous
