The incumbent will strategise and lead a sustained brand communications programme to build SIM's brand and corporate image internally and externally, through brand campaigns, PR and brand events as well as content for engagement on traditional, digital and social media platforms.
Brand and Corporate Image: Strategise, plan and manage the execution of brand communications programmes / projects to build and enhance the SIM brand. This includes:
- Brand projects / campaigns: including brand engagement and publicity on traditional, digital and social media platforms, and the measurement of results for these events / activities
- PR programmes as well as co-branded and sponsored events/activities.
- Corporate collaterals and publications.
- Brand guardianship to ensure a consistent brand voice across the organisation.
Content Strategy: Develop content strategies and manage sustainable content plans to build SIM's brand and thought leadership. This includes:
- Collaborating with internal and external thought leaders and subject experts on thought leadership topics and SIM's unique value proposition.
- Curating and creating multi-media content for engagement on suitable traditional, digital and social media platforms.
Media Relations: Strategise and supervise the implementation of media programmes that build and support branding and thought leadership. This includes:
- Identifying creative and relevant hooks for media stories.
- Working closely with the Communications team to handle media queries.
- Maintaining good relationship with the media.
Market Intelligence: Identifying trending topics and gather market intelligence to direct brand communications and thought leaderships. Track brand performance through media monitoring, social listening, other engagement metrics and business outcomes.
Editorials and Projects: Support the department in writing and editing work that include speeches and editorials for digital platforms, Intranet and SIM's corporate website.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or related fields.
- At least 6 8 years of working experience in brand management or corporate communications, public relations or marketing communications with exposure to brand management.
- Ideally has at least 4 years of hands-on experience in brand and reputation management on traditional, digital and social media platforms at Assistant Manager level.
- Strong knowledge of branding and social media trends and technologies in Singapore and the region.
- Experience in implementing brand plans (including branding partnerships), evaluation of executed plans, using analytical tools like digital and social media analytics to drive strategic decisions on future brand planning.
- Excellent spoken and written communications, with strong ability to write and edit for all media.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Good leadership and supervisory skills.
- Good project management and event-organising skills.
- Creative thinker, independent worker and able to work under tight timelines.
