IT/Telecommunications
One of our clients, a Japanese IT Development firm in the finance industry, is seeking a L2 SUPPORT Officer.
This role involves projects related to Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Derivatives, Bonds, GIRO, FAST, MEPS, and Cross-Border payments.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement & Support (40%)
- Demonstrate a proactive approach by taking ownership of issues and driving resolutions independently.
- Deliver timely and effective support to users, maintaining a strong customer service mindset.
- Provide both technical and functional support to the Singapore office.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with end users, technical teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Accurately report incidents, including business impact and interim solutions, to management.
Process Improvement (30%)
- Maintain comprehensive records of user requests and system incidents.
- Prepare detailed reports and updates for stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Project Coordination (10%)
- Collaborate closely with L3 support teams and external vendors.
- Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring compliance by all parties.
Technical Scope (20%)
- Perform routine system and application health checks.
- Support environments involving Windows and Linux servers.
- Provide application support within banking or financial services systems.
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field from a recognized institution
- At least 5-8 years of experience in L2 application support, with at least 2 years in a team leading experience
- Experience supporting financial institutions or banking-related systems is required
- Japanese Speaking (At least JLPT N1 or more) will be required to liaise with Japanese internal & external stakeholders
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and application support tools
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL preferred)
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira
(Advantageous)
- Relevant certifications are an advantage (e.g., ITIL Foundation, Microsoft certifications, CompTIA A+)
- Exposure to MAS Technology Risk Management guidelines
- Understanding of IT infrastructure within financial institutions
- Experience working in a Japanese corporate environment
- Experience working with banks or organisations within the financial services industry
