We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Steward / Porter to support daily kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and clean kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, storerooms, and washing stations
- Clean and washes refrigerator and food storage area
- Dispose of waste and follow proper recycling procedures
- Assist with receiving, moving, and storing kitchen supplies
- Support chefs and kitchen team with basic tasks when required
- Follow hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety standards
- Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored properly
Requirements
- Previous experience as a kitchen steward or porter preferred but not required
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and lift kitchen supplies
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety practices
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
