Job Requirements
The Snr./Cook will be required to assist with the following basic food preparation tasks and be capable of instructing subordinates to:
- Food preparation and cooking for residents and employees
- Preparation of foods which are to be served as part of special or therapeutic diets for residents
- Ensure food are stored in the correct temperatures
- Ensure food are correctly labelled and expiry dates are strictly adhered
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of meal distribution
- Assist with menu planning
- Minimizes food waste through proper control of portioning and storage of food items
- Maintain overall cleanliness of kitchen
- Ensure members of the Kitchen team are following food safety procedures in the kitchen
- Clean and perform basic maintenance of stoves, work area etc. Dispose garbage from the food service area
Qualification and Experiences
- O Level or equivalent qualification
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate (WSQ Food & Beverage Safety & Hygiene Policies and Procedures)
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
