We are partnering with a leading soft commodities company to hire a commercially focused HR Business Partner to support people decisions aligned with performance, cost control, and operational priorities. This role is well suited for an auditor who is looking to transition into an HR Business Partner career path. The position involves close collaboration with regional stakeholders across Africa and Papua New Guinea, operating within a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Head of HR. This role acts as a hands-on HR business partner supporting both operational and commercial needs across regional businesses. It involves working closely with line managers on workforce planning, employee relations, and day-to-day people matters to drive productivity and resolve issues pragmatically, particularly in factory and site environments. The role also includes regional exposure through travel to markets such as Africa and Papua New Guinea to support local teams, conduct workforce assessments, and ensure alignment with group standards. Key responsibilities span manpower and cost analysis, performance and rewards processes, talent and succession planning, as well as handling employee relations and ensuring HR governance and compliance. In addition, the role contributes to HR transformation initiatives, process improvements, and the development of analytics to enhance decision-making.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in audit accounting, or consulting, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills, as well as a solid understanding of financials and cost structures. The role requires strong communication skills to engage stakeholders across levels, willingness to travel to Africa and Papua New Guinea, and the ability to operate in less structured environments, along with a clear interest in transitioning into a commercial and operational HR role.
