My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT System Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management and maintenance of our factory's IT systems, ensuring their 24/7 availability and security. This role involves a strong focus on IT infrastructure, virtualization, containerization, and cybersecurity.

about the job

• Supervise and maintain IT systems including servers, networks, PCs, and software systems. This includes managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server 2022, and VMware environments.
• Design and deploy factory IT infrastructure, including on-premises servers and cloud integrations. Develop automation scripts using tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes or OpenShift. Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi for resource efficiency.
• Implement and oversee cybersecurity measures to protect IT systems from threats, including conducting routine security assessments. Manage robust data pipelines and backup systems.
• Provide technical support to employees and contractors, and act as an escalation point for high-priority IT and OT (Operational Technology) issues. Manage IT projects from start to finish.

skills and experience required
Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server 2022, and VMware ecosystems.

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

Familiarity with MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter) and OT protocols (e.g., OPC-UA, Modbus) is an advantage.

Certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, VCP, Docker Certified Associate, or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator are strongly preferred.
