System Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to manage the setup, configuration, and maintenance of our systems and storage infrastructure. This includes VMware, SAN, storage networking, Microsoft/Linux servers, backups, cloud infrastructure, and visualization tools. The role also involves translating high-level architecture into detailed deployment plans and workbooks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manageVMware/Hyper-Venvironments.
• Configure and maintainSAN switches,iSCSI, andFibre Channel (FC)storage systems.
• Install, configure, and migrateWindows Server,Active Directory,DNS,DHCP,MS-SQL, andLinux(Ubuntu, RedHat, SUSE).
• Implement and supportbackup solutions(e.g., Veeam).
• Troubleshoot system and storage issues and optimize performance.
• Translatehigh-level designs and BOMsinto detailed designs anddeployment workbooks.
• Visualize infrastructure usingVisio,draw.io, or equivalent tools.
• Document configurations and changes; provide training and support to users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist inPOC setups.
• Configurepublic cloud infrastructure(AWS, Azure) andMicrosoft 365 services(Exchange, SharePoint, Entra ID, Intune).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experiencein systems/storage engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge ofVMware,Windows servers,SAN, andbackup solutions.
• Experience withiSCSI,FC, andstorage networking.
• Ability to create low-level designs and workbooks from architectural documents.
• Familiarity with basic networking, client coordination, and implementation support.
• Proficient in documentation and technical visualization tools (e.g., Visio).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Veeam) are an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience withAWS,Azure, andM365administration.
• Proficiency inLinux systemsand OS hardening.
• Experience withHyper-V,Blade servers, and advancedVeeam configuration.
