Job Purpose
The IT Specialist is responsible for managing local IT operations and supporting the Group's end-to-end IT related matter to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient technology services that enable business continuity and growth. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to drive service improvements, technology adoption, and process efficiency across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting and monitoring for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Establish and maintain the Group's IT policy framework (security, acceptable use, access control, change, backup/DR, encryption, data retention, and incident response) and ensure every policy has an owner, and a defined review cycle.
- Administer and maintain IT systems, including email servers, cloud platforms, and security protocols.
- Manage and liaise with outsourced vendors and service providers to oversee all IT-related matters for the Group, including procurement, servicing, support, and project implementation.
- Monitor server and system performance (e.g. On-Premises AD server, MS SharePoint), plan and manage backups.
- Manage all the software licensing, ensure timely updates of software and antivirus tools (e.g. Sophos antivirus, MS, Adobe, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes (e.g., account setup, access rights, laptop configuration).
- Plan and conduct internal IT training for staff to enhance digital skills, strengthen cybersecurity awareness, and improve the effective use of business systems.
- Assist in digital transformation projects, including automation, cloud migration, and process improvements.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) strategy, encompassing resilient architecture design, backup and recovery, vendor continuity, cyber-resilience, regulatory compliance, and regular testing to ensure critical services remain secure, available, and audit-ready.
- Support the company's Data Protection Officer (DPO) in PDPA-related matters, such as data access requests, incident reporting, and periodic audits and etc.
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Superior.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT support or system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, Active Directory, and basic networking.
- Familiar with cybersecurity and data protection best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
