IT Programme, Assistant Manager (Aerospace)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Programme / Project Manager to join our client in the Aerospace sector. The successful candidate will oversee software and IT projects, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with company objectives. This role also involves active participation in business development activities such as proposals, RFPs, and contract management, making it an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy both operational and strategic responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and management of all software/IT project activities, working closely with management, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Lead sales, marketing, and proposal preparation in response to RFPs.
• Negotiate, draft, administer, and interpret a range of contracts and agreements.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with company commitments.
• Develop, coordinate, and communicate programme management plans and budgets.
• Manage customer requirements and expectations while fostering strong client relationships.
• Analyse programme risks and implement effective risk mitigation plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey both technical and non-technical information clearly.
• Independent and proactive, yet collaborative in a team environment.
• Knowledge of software automation and/or data science is an advantage.
• Prior experience in the Aerospace and/or Defence industry is preferred.
