IT Operations Engineer – Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

End-User & Desktop Support

• Provide L1/L2 support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows systems and hardware.
• Support mobile devices (iOS & Android).

Conference & Collaboration Support

• Support and maintain conference room A/V and video conferencing systems.
• Assist with Zoom, Teams, Skype, and hybrid meeting setups.
• Provide on-site and remote support for meetings and events.

Software & Application Support

• Support Microsoft Office, Outlook, and in-house applications.
• Troubleshoot email, mailbox access, and application issues.
• Assist users with software updates and usage guidance.

Infrastructure & IT Operations

• Assist with server room maintenance, network equipment checks, and basic troubleshooting.
• Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, shared drives, VPN, and office network connectivity.
• Log and resolve incidents through ticketing systems while following SLAs and security standards.
• Support onboarding/offboarding activities and maintain IT documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT support experience with a diploma/bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, desktop/laptop hardware, printing systems, and networking concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, file servers, and basic virtualization (VMware).
• Familiarity with endpoint security, patching, backup, and data recovery processes.
• Hands-on experience with meeting room and collaboration technologies.
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Good team player with vendor coordination experience.
• ITIL, GxP, or pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
