Job Summary
We seek a Junior Project Manager / Technical PMO with Banking or Financial Services experience to support AI and data-driven transformation projects. Collaborate with engineering, business, and senior program managers to ensure effective project planning, execution, governance, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle activities including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure to deliver technology projects on time and within scope
- Coordinate with AI/ML engineers, data teams, and business stakeholders to align project objectives and technical requirements
- Track and control project plans, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies to mitigate delays and ensure smooth delivery
- Prepare and present status reports, dashboards, and executive presentations to communicate project progress and risks clearly
- Enforce PMO governance, compliance, and audit standards aligned with banking regulations to maintain project integrity
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to support iterative delivery and team collaboration
- Manage stakeholder communications across business and technology teams to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution
- Support vendor coordination and delivery tracking to maintain quality and schedule adherence
- Assist in budget tracking, resource planning, and forecasting to optimize project financials and staffing
- Document requirements, scope changes, and change management processes to maintain project transparency and control
Required competencies and certifications
- Prior experience in Banking or Financial Services domain with exposure to digital banking, payments, risk, compliance, AML, data, reporting, or regulatory projects
- 3-6 years of experience in Project Management, PMO, or delivery coordination roles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills demonstrated through effective cross-team collaboration
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment managing multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to identify and resolve project challenges
- Detail-oriented with proven documentation capabilities to maintain accurate project records
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies applied to technology project delivery
- Familiarity with banking systems, regulatory environments, or financial products relevant to project context
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or Scrum Master to validate project management expertise
- AI or Data certifications to support AI and data-driven transformation initiatives
- Experience working on AI use cases including chatbots, NLP, fraud detection, risk analytics, or recommendation systems
- Exposure to regulatory projects involving MAS guidelines or compliance frameworks
- Experience managing multi-vendor or large-scale banking technology environments
- Familiarity with data platforms (data lakes, analytics pipelines), APIs, microservices, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
