Job Overview
We are looking for a Factory Automation System Engineer to support and maintain factory automation applications within a high-tech manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting manufacturing users to minimize downtime.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in semiconductor, electronics, or manufacturing industries who are passionate about supporting mission-critical production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for factory automation systems to ensure stable manufacturing operations.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues affecting production.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system incidents.
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
- Work closely with production users, engineers, and cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues.
- Develop and execute SQL queries for data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
- Participate in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience supporting factory automation systems within a semiconductor, manufacturing, or high-tech production environment.
- Experience supporting production-critical applications and manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in SQL, with Oracle Database experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Factory Automation (FA) systems.
- Knowledge of production workflows and manufacturing operations.
- Experience in incident management and production support.
- Familiarity with Oracle database administration or SQL performance tuning is an advantage.
