Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and reliable IT Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, and ensuring system security, availability, and performance. This role also includes hands-on support, asset tracking, and coordination with vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain computer systems, servers, and networks to ensure optimal performance.
- Install, configure, and update hardware, software, and systems.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Provide technical support to staff (onsite and remote).
- Perform routine system backups and ensure data protection.
- Submit and track IT service requests through ITSM tools.
- Maintain and update IT asset inventory, including clean laptop counts and storeroom stock.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate IT-related activities.
- Assist in IT project implementation such as system upgrades and tech refresh.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support and procurement.
- Assist in enforcing IT policies and security protocols.
- Ensure timely updates, patches, and compliance across systems.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge of End User Computing Devices (EUCD).
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols and IT infrastructure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using ITSM tools is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- IT certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco are a plus.
