Job Summary

The Associate Director of ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) Finance is a critical role in the end-to-end supply chain management team. This position partners with the VP ISC and VP Supply Chain to manage Plant Controllers (Senior Managers). This position also partners with the VP Finance for the region to ensure ISC strategies are reflected accurately in the P&L and maintains close collaboration with the Greater Asia Finance team to align planning timelines and deliverables.

The position oversees seven manufacturing locations and is accountable for helping drive their business results while maintaining purposeful autonomy in ensuring results are in accordance with GAAP and other local statutory principles. The position will develop associates on their team for success in role and continued opportunities at BD.

Job Description

• Own the FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) for the manufacturing plantsOversight for the monthly financial impact versus budget/forecast
  Prepare and communicate actionable reporting to ISC and regional/business leadership teams
  
• Partners with GBS organization to ensure their responsibilities for close, forecast, and budget deliverables are timely and meet expectations
• Financial Modeling and decision making (Make vs Buy, Site impacts, etc)
• Accountable for successful budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for manufacturing plants
• Business partner to the VP of ISC and VP Supply Chain
• Actively participates on the ISC Finance leadership council
• Creates an open, inclusive environment for employees to grow and challenge themselves
• Leader should create a culture of innovation enabling teams to develop solutions to business problems and elevating those ideas that are successful to the broader group to achieve economies of scale
• Ensures accounting treatments are accurate and adhere to GAAP - proactively engages the Controller organization for technical treatments where disagreement or uncertainty exists
• Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures
• Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles
• Plant site and headquarter visits, as required
• Ad hoc support or special projects, as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance Required
• MBA/ CPA/ CMA preferred

Experience

• Supply Chain Finance, Costing & Analysis background
• 7+ years of relevant accounting/FP&A experiences
• 5+ years of management experience
• Previous experience within BDX ISC Finance preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong Financial systems and tools knowledge and utilization skills (HFM, SAP, JDE, BPC).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel as demonstrated by previous experience creating and manipulating complex spreadsheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.) required.
• Previous ERP costing experience (SAP / JDE highly desirable) related to standard cost build-ups and work order variance analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use logic, reasoning, and critical thinking in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Demonstrated ability to build credibility with and challenge stakeholders to drive initiatives and deliver high impact solutions to meet business needs.
• Resilient and persistent when faced with obstacles.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks.
• Strong collaboration and demonstrated ability to establish relationships and build rapport with all stakeholders, and influence management through informed discussions and presentations.
