Investment Intern for LCI DPM
Job Description:
- Research and recommend actionable investment ideas across asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternative investments, etc.), geographies, sectors, as well as thematic-related investment
- Work with senior analysts and CIO to manage existing portfolios and gain first-hand exposure in portfolio construction, portfolio management, and risk management
- Recommend improvements to new and existing processes and/or frameworks for research, portfolio management, risk management
- Conduct analysis on market trends, events and asset behaviours with a focus on portfolio implications and implementation
- Produce commentaries/reports/analyses for investors as well as internal stakeholders for monthly, quarterly, annual reporting as well as ad hoc requests, detailing investment-level and fund-level activities and performance
- Monitor and review instrument performance on an ongoing basis with the opportunity to contribute in instrument selection due diligence process
- Regular maintenance of databases, FAQs as well as performing analysis using Bloomberg/Morningstar
- Monitor global, regional, and country-specific macro-economic trends used in portfolio management decisions
- Assist in ad-hoc projects and other initiatives
Requirements & qualifications:
- Able to commit full time i.e. 5 days a week
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher qualifications
- Preferably with accountancy, finance, economics and/or business administration background
- Interest in finance, wealth management, asset allocation, multi-asset strategy, etc
- High analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Excel, Powerpoint, Word
- Interest in data science or knowledge in coding preferred
- Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills
- Self-motivated, diligent, collaborative, and uplifting team player with a hunger to learn and contribute
