Role Description
The Investment Banking Analyst will support senior bankers in executing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and other strategic advisory projects. The role involves detailed financial modeling, valuation analysis, market research, and preparation of client-facing materials. Analysts work closely with associates, vice presidents, and managing directors, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables that inform strategic financial decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build financial models including discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), and comparable company analyses.
- Conduct market, industry, and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Prepare pitch books, presentations, and reports for clients and internal committees.
- Analyze financial statements and operational metrics to support investment recommendations.
- Assist in due diligence by reviewing contracts, agreements, and other financial data.
- Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting clients and deals.
- Collaborate with team members on multiple live projects, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Support ad-hoc analyses, scenario modeling, and internal reporting.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field; Master's or CFA designation is a plus.
- 17 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, financial advisory, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and valuation techniques.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and corporate finance concepts.
- Experience with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or FactSet.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
