Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within the Investment Banking division. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual looking to build a career advising leading financial institutions across Asia, based in Singapore.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior bankers on a broad range of transactions, including M&A, capital raising, strategic advisory and financing solutions spanning Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Fintech, and Specialty Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the execution of M&A transactions, equity and debt offerings, and strategic advisory mandates for FIG clients
Perform financial modelling, valuation analysis (DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions), and scenario analysis
Conduct in-depth industry research and prepare client materials, including pitchbooks, sector updates, and transaction documentation
Assist in due diligence processes, data analysis, regulatory review, and internal approval workflows
Collaborate with regional and global product partners to deliver integrated solutions
Monitor market activity, regulatory developments, and competitive trends across the financial services sector
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
13 years of investment banking, corporate finance or related experience (internship experience also considered)
Strong financial modelling and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
Solid understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and corporate finance principles
Strong interest in the financial institutions sector (banks, insurers, fintech, etc.)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluency in English required, with Mandarin a plus
