As the client&aposs scale, they need a quick and hands-on International Tax Manager who can co-manage our Singapore tax matters and support international tax compliance and structuring.
What You&aposll Do
- Work closely with the Finance department on tax compliance issues and be responsible for data preparation and collation for tax filings, tax audits, and litigation in operating jurisdictions;
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of direct and indirect tax returns with support from external tax consultants;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that business operations and transactions are tax-efficient and compliant with regulations.
- Contribute towards the localisation of tax planning projects, collaborate with internal and external resources on tax assessment of proposed business models.
- Research and analyse the impact of tax legislation and regulatory proposals, and assist with communications to management;
- Monitor and assess BEPS implementation and tax registration requirements in operating jurisdictions.
- Assist in optimizing end-to-end tax compliance procedures to mitigate risks and improve efficiency through coordination with other stakeholders.
What They&aposre Looking For
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or relevant discipline, preferably with a professional qualification as recognised by SCTP
- At least 5 years of experience in a tax role (Big 4 and/ or in-house), ideally in a tech or digital business.
- Solid grounding in Singapore direct and indirect taxes and experience dealing with EDB & IRAS.
- Familiar with international tax principles such as OECD rules, digital services tax, transfer pricing, etc.
- At least 2 years of experience in coordinating tax compliance work for countries OTHER THAN Singapore and China.
- Excellent command of the English language ability to speak and write (type) Chinese will be considered a big plus due to the need to communicate with both English and Mandarin-speaking counterparts.
