NUH Internship Programme(Jan 2027 – Jun 2027)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking intern to join NUH's transformation journey as we reimagine healthcare delivery for the future. You will be at the forefront of contributing to NUH's campus redevelopment through innovative workflow redesign and comprehensive innovation project management. This is a unique opportunity to leave your mark on NUH's transformation towards 2030.

Job Description

1) Campus Redevelopment - Workflow Redesign:

  • Learn and contribute to workflow redesign initiatives, particularly in logistics operations using robotics (AMRs etc)
  • Conduct research and analysis on automation technologies and their applications in healthcare settings
  • Support the planning and documentation of new operational workflows for the redeveloped campus
  • Assist in creating presentations and reports to communicate redesign proposals to stakeholders

2) Innovation Projects:

  • Support comprehensive project management activities for innovation initiatives aligned with NUH 2030 goals.
  • Conduct technology implementation viability assessments for proposed solutions and innovations.
  • Assist in developing frameworks and criteria to assess project success, feasibility, and scalability potential.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement sessions and document insights and feedback.
  • Help track and report on multiple concurrent projects, identifying those ready for scaling in the new development.
  • Support the evaluation of emerging technologies and their potential applications in healthcare delivery.

3) Additional Initiatives:

  • Participate in other opportunities and projects within the department as they arise

Job Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think critically about complex healthcare challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with strong project coordination abilities and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across clinical, operations, and technology domains.
  • Keen interest in healthcare innovation and technology applications.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with emerging initiatives.
  • Research skills and ability to synthesise information from multiple sources is a plus.
  • Prior exposure to project management methodologies or workflow analysis is advantageous but not required.
