Join Sembcorp Specialised Construction

Sembcorp Specialised Construction, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, provides design and build services with an in-house multidisciplinary consultancy. Specialising in building, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects, we deliver innovative and efficient solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

  • Gain a strong understanding of SCAE's internal design workflows and procedures.
  • Apply relevant codes of practice and regulatory requirements in daytoday design tasks.
  • Utilize structural design software such as TEDDS, PROKON, and inhouse Excel tools for 2D calculations.
  • Develop foundational knowledge of 3D FEM software platforms including ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer, and IDEA StatiCa.
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary consultants throughout project phases.
  • Prepare and deliver design presentations to communicate concepts, schematics, alternative solutions, and valueengineering options.
  • Conduct research, feasibility studies, and prepare architectural or engineering reports for submission to authorities, clients, or internal stakeholders.
  • Support construction documentation through drafting, preparing technical specifications, and assisting professionals with drawing endorsements.
  • Participate in construction administration activities, including authority submissions, permitting processes, and design change coordination.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Background in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills , with the ability to conduct research and perform feasibility assessments.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and preparing reports or presentations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate design documentation.
  • Good time management with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of the project, only Singaporean candidates will be considered
