Sembcorp Specialised Construction, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, provides design and build services with an in-house multidisciplinary consultancy. Specialising in building, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects, we deliver innovative and efficient solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Building Services Consultancy & Project Site Construction (Design & Build)
- Assist in managing the financial & contractual provisions of all projects from pre-tender to post contract phases including quantities, variations, cost estimates, monthly claims, final accounts etc
- Work closely with Project Manager in preparing monthly updated project costing
- Assist in developing suitable subcontract conditions for specific project requirements
- Help prepare project budgeting and costing reports
- Assist in cost estimating, quantity take off, claims preparation, variations and final accounts.
- Assist in the review of contracts, prepare tender & contract documentations, tender analysis & reporting, measurement etc
- Assist in reviewing sub-contractors claims and materials on site
- Help standardise all agreements (e.g. subcontracts and joint ventures) with alignment to contract policy
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Background in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure & Project Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Possess positive learning attitude and good interpersonal skills to coordinate and collaborate on work processes on a multi-disciplinary basis
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good understanding & knowledge of contracts law and its application
- Preferably conversant in using CostX and/or Glodon Cubicost measurement software
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Due to the sensitive nature of the project, only Singaporean candidates will be considered
