Sembcorp Specialised Construction, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, provides design and build services with an in-house multidisciplinary consultancy. Specialising in building, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects, we deliver innovative and efficient solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents.
- Support QS team in contract administration, procurement, and progress claims assessment.
- Conduct site measurements and assist in evaluating variations and cost control measures.
- Work with costing and estimation software to analyze project budgets.
- Assist in reviewing project specifications, contracts, and construction drawings.
- Conduct market research on material costs and supplier pricing.
- Support project teams in monitoring budgets and financial performance.
- Prepare reports and documentation to track project costs and financial risks.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Background in Infrastructure & Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Construction Management, Building and Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
- Basic understanding of cost estimation, contract management, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, CostX, or other quantity surveying software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to project requirement
