Job Description

About Us

SCDA is an international practice integrating Architecture, Interiors and Landscape to create holistic spatial experiences. With offices in Singapore, Shanghai, Manila and New York City, SCDA has projects in over 80 locations across Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, and North America. In parallel, SCDA Lab pioneers social and cultural initiatives, applying research and design to enact measurable change and advance the environmental cause.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Interior Design Renderer to join our Singapore studio. This role is suited to a visually driven individual with a strong sensitivity to interior space, materiality, and atmosphere, and who is adept at translating design intent into refined visual outputs.

You will work closely with interior designers to produce high-quality renderings that communicate SCDA's interior design vision across a range of international residential and hospitality projects.

This is a specialist role for someone deeply engaged in interior visualisation, lighting, composition, and the craft of image-making.

Key Contributions

  • Develop high-quality interior renderings from concept through design development stages, supporting design communication and presentations.
  • Translate interior design intent into refined, atmospheric visuals with strong attention to lighting, materiality, and spatial quality.
  • Build and refine detailed 3D interior scenes, including furniture, materials, and styling elements.
  • Collaborate closely with interior designers to interpret drawings, sketches, and material palettes into accurate and evocative imagery.
  • Produce still renderings and visual studies that clearly articulate interior space and design intent.
  • Refine and enhance visual outputs through post-production using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Maintain consistency and quality across all visual materials in line with SCDA's design standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in interior visualisation.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality interior renderings for residential and/or hospitality projects.

Software Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in 3ds Max (primary modelling and rendering workflow).
  • Strong working knowledge of Corona Renderer for interior visualisation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for post-production and image refinement.

Working knowledge of the following is advantageous:

  • D5 Render or other real-time visualisation tools.
  • Familiarity with SketchUp for coordination and model integration.
  • Familiarity with AI visualisation tools (e.g. Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Photoshop AI tools) to support workflow efficiency and iteration.

Design & Communication

  • Strong understanding of interior lighting, materiality, composition, and spatial atmosphere.
  • Sensitivity to detail, proportion, and interior styling.
  • Ability to interpret and translate interior design intent into compelling visual narratives.
  • Detail-oriented, design-sensitive, and able to work collaboratively within a studio environment.

Why Join Us

At SCDA, design excellence sits at the heart of our practice. You will be part of a collaborative, design-led studio, contributing to the visual expression of internationally recognised projects and shaping how interior environments are communicated across diverse contexts.

Application

Interested candidates are invited to submit a CV and portfolio as a single PDF, clearly demonstrating interior visualisation work across residential or hospitality projects, to [Confidential Information].

Please include current and expected salary, as well as notice period.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
