Job Summary
Uncommon Studio seeks an Interior Designer with strong design sensibility to create thoughtful spaces. This role requires creativity, clear communication, and confidence in presenting design concepts to clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts, space plans, and material palettes to create cohesive interior environments
- Prepare mood boards, 3D visuals, and presentation decks to effectively communicate design intent
- Produce detailed drawings for client presentations and construction documentation
- Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout project phases
- Present and articulate design proposals confidently to clients, addressing feedback and questions
- Coordinate with team members to align design solutions with project goals and client needs
- Demonstrate proactive responsibility in managing design tasks and meeting project deadlines
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in residential, retail, or commercial interior design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing design drawings
- Proficiency in SketchUp or equivalent 3D visualization tools (e.g., Enscape, V-Ray)
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite and presentation tools for design communication
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong design thinking with attention to detail to enhance design quality
- Clear and confident presentation and communication skills to articulate and defend design concepts
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Proactive and responsible working attitude to contribute positively to project outcomes
