Interior Designer

The Opportunity

Are you a technical expert with a flair for conceptual design At Galaxy Studio Interior, we are looking for a versatile Interior Designer & Space Planner /BIM Modeler who can take a project from a blank floor plan to a stunning client presentation.

This role is perfect for someone who understands that great design must be both beautiful and budget conscious. You will lead the charge in commercial space optimization while ensuring every material choice aligns with the client's financial goals.

What You'll Be Doing

• Commercial Space Planning: Lead the 2D layout planning for commercial projects, ensuring efficient workflow, ergonomics, and compliance with local fire safety and building codes.

• 3D Visualization: Create high-quality 3D perspective views that bring concepts to life, helping clients visualize the final result through Coohom , SketchUp , 3d Max or Other 3D related software

• Material Curation & Budgeting: Propose material palettes and finishes that meet aesthetic goals while remaining strictly within the client's budgetary requirements.

• Concept Development: Prepare professional Mood Boards and material boards to communicate the look and feel of the project.

• Client Presentation: Confidently present your design proposals to clients, explaining the rationale behind your space planning and material choices.

• Technical Documentation: Translate approved designs into detailed 2D CAD drawings for site execution.

• Optional - BIM Modeler - Building Intelligent Models: Developing detailed 3D models (Architectural & M&E )

What We're Looking For

• The Full Package: A degree or diploma in Interior Design with a strong portfolio showcasing commercial space planning.

• Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in AutoCAD (2D Layouts) and Coohom/SketchUp/V-Ray (3D Perspectives).

• Financial Savvy: Ability to source materials and propose alternatives to meet cost constraints without compromising design integrity.

• Communication Skills: Strong presentation skills you should be comfortable propose a design concept to a client.

• Local Expertise: Familiarity with Singapore commercial building regulations and material suppliers.
