Instrumentation and Control Professional Leader

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and engineering of instrumentation and control systems for offshore oil and gas platforms, ensuring compliance with international and regional standards.
• Develop, review, and optimize instrument loop diagrams, control system configurations, and related design documents.
• Ensure design solutions meet marine engineering specifications, safety requirements, and project objectives.
• Apply deep knowledge of instrumentation and control principles, industry regulations, and design methodologies specific to offshore environments.
• Maintain up-to-date awareness of technology advancements and regulatory changes relevant to instrumentation and control engineering.
• Utilize instrumentation and control design software and other relevant tools to perform detailed design, analysis, and calculations.
• Guide and train team members in proficient use of these software tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Quickly identify potential technical challenges and risks related to instrumentation and control systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Automation, Measurement and Control Technology, Process Equipment and Control Engineering, or related disciplines
• Preference for candidates holding Registered Automation System Engineer certification
• Strong understanding of marine instrumentation and control systems and their design principles
• Familiar with international and regional standards: API, ISA, IEC, Shell DEP, QP standards, etc
• Proficient in using SPI, INSTRUCALC, and related instrumentation design software
• Thorough knowledge of design characteristics and technical requirements specific to offshore oil and gas platforms in Qatar is a MUST
• Familiar with Qatar's project approval and design review protocols
• Prior work experience on Qatar-based projects is an advantage
• Knowledge of Shell and Qatar Petroleum (QP) standards is a preferred
• Excellent command of English
