About the Course
Vertical Institute's Data Science Course trains learners in essential, job-ready data skills. Participants develop proficiency in Python for data analysis, learn to manage and manipulate data using NumPy and Pandas, conduct exploratory data analysis, and apply foundational machine learning techniques such as regression and classification. The course also introduces the integration of AI tools into everyday data processes. All sessions are conducted live on Zoom, typically during weekday evenings or on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, hands-on live online classes in Data Science
- Teach core concepts including Python fundamentals, data manipulation with NumPy and Pandas, exploratory data analysis, and supervised learning methods such as regression and classification
- Guide students through practical projects and real-world datasets
- Break down complex technical topics into clear, beginner-friendly explanations
- Create an interactive and supportive online learning environment
- Gather and apply student feedback to enhance course delivery
Requirements
- ACTA/ACLP certification under Singapore's WSQ framework
- Strong background in Data Science or a related field
- Practical experience with Python, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib/Seaborn, and scikit-learn or similar ML frameworks
- Excellent verbal communication and teaching skills
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for beginners
- Comfortable teaching on Zoom with a reliable home setup (camera, microphone, stable internet)
- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or corporate training is an advantage
