Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate commercial and operational contracts, including but not limited to complex agreements with customers and vendors, cooperation agreements, procurement agreements, non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, HR/employment contracts, insurance-related covenants and documentation, and IP-related /licensing agreements.
• Identify legal and contractual risks and provide strategic, clear and practical recommendations and solutions to the business.
• Advise on and manage litigation matters, including advising on litigation strategy, drafting relevant statements of claim, affidavits and other relevant documentation, instruct and collaborate with external law firms.
• Manage and coordinate with external/foreign lawyers and internal legal team members when necessary. Support, coordinate and manage insurance related matters.
• Support corporate governance and corporate secretarial matters.
• Keep abreast of relevant legal developments and provide proactive advice to the business.

Requirements

• PQE: At least 7-9 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Qualifications: Bachelor of Law (LLB) (Hons) with a Singapore or reputable international English-speaking university. Be called to the Singapore bar or other common law jurisdiction. Experience in a comparable in-house legal environment would be an added advantage.
• Experience: Solid experience in corporate and commercial law. Proven expertise and experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation. Experience in advising on global trade (export controls/sanctions), data privacy, employment, competition and anti-bribery and corruption matters is an added advantage.
• Reporting to: Head of Department.
• Coverage: Worldwide.

• Able to exercise professional judgment, strong accountability and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being a collaborative team player.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including Management-level stakeholders.
