Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, negotiate commercial and operational contracts, including but not limited to complex agreements with customers and vendors, cooperation agreements, procurement agreements, non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, HR/employment contracts, insurance-related covenants and documentation, and IP-related /licensing agreements.
Identify legal and contractual risks and provide strategic, clear and practical recommendations and solutions to the business.
Advise on and manage litigation matters, including advising on litigation strategy, drafting relevant statements of claim, affidavits and other relevant documentation, instruct and collaborate with external law firms.
Manage and coordinate with external/foreign lawyers and internal legal team members when necessary. Support, coordinate and manage insurance related matters.
Support corporate governance and corporate secretarial matters.
Keep abreast of relevant legal developments and provide proactive advice to the business.

Requirements

PQE: At least 7-9 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
Qualifications: Bachelor of Law (LLB) (Hons) with a Singapore or reputable international English-speaking university. Be called to the Singapore bar or other common law jurisdiction. Experience in a comparable in-house legal environment would be an added advantage.
Experience: Solid experience in corporate and commercial law. Proven expertise and experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation. Experience in advising on global trade (export controls/sanctions), data privacy, employment, competition and anti-bribery and corruption matters is an added advantage.
