Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for an Engineer with experience in IT system and network infrastructure equipment to be part of one or more teams in managing and coordinating multiple vendors in a large scale communications projects. The Engineer should have broad technical skills and a working background in Core Network Planning and Design as well as basic knowledge on RF technology.

Responsibilities:

Involve in one or more teams working in normal hour in managing and coordinating multiple vendors in a large scale communications projects based on Key Performance Indicator (KPI):

• Conduct periodic inspections and audit in both software to hardware e.g. Backend IT security  equipment, network switches, firewalls, servers etc to front-end devices, that ranges from Monitoring Management Systems, etc.
• Conduct reviews in Security Backend System including cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure contractor's contractual obligations are met and services are delivered well.
• Provide accurate and regular reports to the management on performance of the service delivery.
• Review design documents ensuring all design aspects of the systems are addressed.
• Project Management inclusive of reporting of Works progress and/or Issues escalation for resolution, project scheduling/project meeting, migration or Expansion work; as well as New sub-systems deployment.
• RF cell planning and validation including carrying out ad-hoc radio coverage survey and reports of the Radio sub-system performance.
• Support review of test plans, conduct, witness of system testing and acceptance testing.
• Support the implementation and configurations of security and network design.
• Liaise and coordinate with relevant stakeholders, maintenance/project team member and vendors to address critical incidents, coordinate with resolution parties, and establish effective communication between stakeholders for post-incident reviews.
• Analyse third-party as well as internal processes, and create strategies for service delivery optimization.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of project management, as well as knowledge of fixed/mobile communications platform technology. Certification in CITPM, PMP or equivalent certification as a requirement.
• Experiences in managing and coordinating multiple vendors ensuring KPI(s) are met.
• Knowledge in transmission and IP transport technologies, including DWDM, carrier ethernet, TCP/IP and Software Defined WAN. Certification in CCNA, CCNP or equivalent certification as a requirement.
