Job Summary
Safely operate company vehicles to deliver and collect goods, documents or materials while supporting warehouse and logistics tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles safely to deliver and collect goods, documents or materials as assigned
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely transport
- Load and unload goods carefully, handling cartons up to 5KG to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate logs of daily driving activities including mileage, fuel usage and delivery records
- Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies during driving duties
- Perform basic vehicle checks on oil, water, tires and lights, and report any issues promptly
- Arrange scheduled vehicle servicing and repairs to maintain roadworthiness
- Keep vehicle clean inside and out to ensure a professional appearance and safety
- Assist other departments with ad hoc warehouse and logistics tasks as needed
- Handle goods with care and ensure all related documentation is accurate and complete
- Vehicle needs to be returned back to the warehouse premise at the end of the day (not allowed to drive back to place of residence) ..only apply if you are agreeable with this..
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess a valid local driving license (e.g., Class 3/3A)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- 1-2 years of driving experience
- Experience in warehouse operations
- Ability to lift and move goods weighing up to 5KG per carton
- Good knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for managing inventory and delivery records
- Punctual, responsible, and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
