Responsibilities:
Shipment Execution (Core Responsibility)
- Manage import/export shipments across Singapore, Thailand, Australia and Southeast Asia regions.
- Coordinate daily with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PLs to ensure smooth shipment execution
- Track shipments proactively and resolve delays or clearance issues quickly
Customs Compliance & Regulations
- Ensure full compliance with import/export regulations in Singapore, Thailand, and Australia
- Handle temporary imports and re-exports across Asian markets
- Support shipments involving CITES-controlled goods, ensuring proper permits and documentation
Documentation Management
- Prepare and review all shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, permits, etc.)
- Ensure correct HS code usage and alignment with customs requirements
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready records
- CITES license application and handling
Lead Time Management
- Monitor shipment timelines closely and take corrective actions when delays occur
- Work with logistics partners to prioritize urgent shipments and improve transit times
- Provide visibility to internal stakeholders on shipment status
Freight Coordination
- Review and validate freight quotations (air, sea, courier)
- Select appropriate transport modes based on urgency and cost guidelines
- Ensure alignment with agreed rates and service levels
Systems & Reporting
- Execute logistics transactions and maintain data accuracy in SAP S/4HANA
- Track shipment data and support reporting using Excel
- Ensure proper documentation flow between systems and partners
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact between regional HQ, markets, and external partners
- Coordinate with retail, PR, and merchandise, finance, and supply chain teams to align on shipment priorities
Qualifications:
Experience
- 7-9 years of hands-on experience in import/export operations
- Proven experience managing shipments in Singapore, Thailand, and Australia
- Experience working with external brokers and freight forwarders
- Practical exposure to temporary imports and re-exports in Asia
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and Incoterms
- Solid understanding of customs clearance processes and compliance requirements
- Ability to read and validate freight quotations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data tracking)
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (logistics or related modules preferred)
Preferred Skills but not a must
- Experience handling CITES-related shipments
- Familiarity with duty/tax structures across APAC

- Able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously under time pressure
- Proactive problem solver with a sense of urgency
- Clear and effective communicator with external partners
